Thoughts on Thursday: Gratitude

Where has the time gone??? This week has been flying by, and I’m doing my best to enjoy every single “busy” moment God has granted me.

Here goes my Gratitude Post of the week!

Image

Here’s how these posts will work:

I will list anywhere between 1 to 10 things, people, happenings, whatever it is I am grateful for on a weekly basis. On days when I feel extra grateful for something/someone special in particular, I will dedicate that post entirely to it/her/him.

February 20, 2014 Grateful Heart

1. Warmer weather (30-40 degrees is much more enjoyable than -50)

2. Internet (I’ve recently learned a lot of people don’t have access)

3. Family Video (There’s something so heartwarming about physically walking into a video store and walking around until you find that one movie you’ve been waiting to see! πŸ™‚

4. Lunch date with my Sister in Christ, Sue (It’s always so refreshing to sit and chat with her.)Β

5. Pen Pals! (Snail Mail/Handwritten Letters)

6. A song called “Let Them See You” – JJ Weeks Band

7. God’s Provisions

8. Quiet Time with God

9. My students who fuel me and inspire me to improve regularly

10. My beloved family and friends

What are you grateful for this week/today/in general? Please do share!

Be BLESSED,

Mani Monday! China Glaze

Mani Monday #4!

Mani Monday! China Glaze

Products used:

Base Coat/Nail Hardener + Strengthener: L.A. Colors

Polish: China Glaze in CUSTOM KICKS

Design/Accent Nail: Nail Decor set (from a store called Daiso in Korea)

Top Coat: Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat

Note: I applied 2 coats of the China Glaze in CUSTOM KICKS to achieve the perfect polish look. 1 coat would have been fine if I wanted a toned down/less intense look, but I wanted a true reflection of the color in the bottle.

Note II: After applying polish on my fourth finger, I immediately placed the nail decor stars followed by my trustworthy top coat by Seche Vite.

Sending you endless winter love from Chiberia (Chicago + Siberia)! πŸ˜‰

Be BLESSED,

JJ πŸ™‚

Thoughts on Thursday: Gratitude

I’ve been doing Daily Gratitude Lists for several years now, and it is one of the most uplifting, heart-changing habits of mine. Several of my close friends have also started doing them and have shared with me how the lists have changed their lives.

Before I start my weekly Gratitude post, I would like to give all credit to Pastor Erwin McManus from Mosaic Church in California. God has spoken through Pastor Erwin every Sunday while my hubby and I were still living in California, and because of Pastor Erwin, I began my Daily Gratitude Lists. I cannot express my appreciation and gratitude enough to Pastor McManus for helping me reform my heart.

Mani Monday! Revlon Polish

Mani Monday! (Well, it’s technically Tuesday now…please excuse my late post!)

Mani Monday! Revlon Polish

Better late than never~ (was sick in bed all day – I apologize for the late Mani Monday post)!

*Please note: This is a photo I took pre-clean up around the nail bed and overflow of polish on the sides.

Products Used:

Base Coat/Nail Hardener + Strengthener: L.A. Colors
Polish: Revlon Brilliant Strength Nail Polish in ALLURE
Design/Accent: KleanColor Nail Laquer in #29 AURORA
Top Coat: Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat

Note: Revlon Brilliant Strength Polish in ALLURE has a thick consistency with a wide brush applicator. I applied 2 thin coats to achieve my desired look without making the polish appear too thick.

Hope you are having an amazing beginning to your week!

Be BLESSED,
JJ ❀
